The foundation of BuildZoom is centered around contractor license and permit data, and having accurate location information for a contractor is everything. Because one of our main objectives is to help Contractors grow the business by connecting them with high-quality construction projects. In order to achieve that outcome, it’s important to understand the mindset of the homeowner. Because solving a problem is all they care about, it is crucial to be realistic about the following:
- In the past, which areas (zip codes) have you been most successful in?
- How far are you willing to drive (mins/ miles) to a job?
In order to make the best use of your time, please log in to your BuildZoom Dashboard and follow the steps below to ensure Homeowners are meeting an expert.

Upon entering the home page of your dashboard, click on the “Edit Profile” tab on the left side of the screen. Once there, scroll down to the section titled “Location Information” (see below).
For the next step, you will have the following options:
1 - The address shown is correct and accurately represents the current physical address for the business.
2 - This is the wrong address - In this case, you will need to update the address information. Simply delete the current address and enter the correct address street, city and state.
To complete the final step, click the “Save” button and the updated location information will automatically be live on your BuildZoom profile.
Congratulations, you have completed the most critical, customer-centric aspects of customizing your BuildZoom profile, and your company will now be seen as the expert!
